Restraining Orders

If you are fearful that your former/current spouse or partner will hurt you or your children you may ask for a restraining order in Family court. Restraining orders are made in order to ensure your safety as well as your children's safety.

A restraining order will list conditions for the person you fear to protect your family. They must comply with it. The order can be general like, they cannot come near you, or the order can be specific like they can not come to your work, children’s school, house, etc. If the person disobeys the terms of your restraining order you can inform the police or court to enforce the order.
